Our Mission

Stories That
Build Nations

Every great civilization passes its soul to the next generation through story. We are reclaiming that tradition for American families.

Why We Started

TrueTales was founded by parents who noticed something missing from their children's bookshelves and playlists. The stories that had once been the common inheritance of every American child — the crossing of the Delaware, the courage of the Alamo, the faith of the Pilgrims, the sacrifice at Valley Forge — were disappearing. Replaced by entertainment that asked nothing of children and gave them little to carry into adulthood.

We asked ourselves a simple question: What if the stories a child falls asleep to actually mattered? What if the last voice they heard each night was speaking of courage, of duty, of the price of freedom — and the story was so compelling they asked for it again?

That question became TrueTales. Not a curriculum, not a lecture, not a history lesson in disguise — a genuine adventure, told by gifted storytellers, featuring real people who did extraordinary things because they believed in something larger than themselves.

What We Stand For

Six convictions that shape every story we tell.

🪶

Truthful History

We tell the real story — the complexity, the sacrifice, the failure and redemption — not a sanitized myth. Children can handle the truth, and they deserve it.

🔥

Virtue Over Celebrity

Our heroes are remembered for what they did and who they became, not for fame. We celebrate character above achievement.

🕯️

Faith as Foundation

America's founding was inseparable from a deep faith in Divine Providence. We honor that heritage with respect and honesty.

🏡

Family as the Unit

We build for the family table — stories parents and children experience together, creating conversations that outlast any single evening.

🗺️

Geography of the Soul

The American frontier, the battlefields of the Revolution, the classrooms of the one-room schoolhouse — place is character. We put children in those places.

🌱

Optimism with Roots

We are not nostalgic for a perfect past. We believe the best is possible for America's future, and that it will be built by children who know the story of those who came before.

The Vision

We envision a generation of American children who, when they close their eyes at night, carry with them the faces of Washington crossing the Delaware, Clara Barton binding wounds in the mud at Antietam, Lewis and Clark cresting a mountain ridge they'd never seen — and feel, in the marrow of their bones, that they are the inheritors of something profound.

That inheritance is not automatic. It must be passed on, deliberately, lovingly, and with a storyteller's skill. That is the work TrueTales is called to do.

We are building the most comprehensive library of patriotic American audio stories ever assembled for children. Six series, every age group from 3 to 14, every era of American history — the full sweep of a civilization's story, told one bedtime at a time.

T
A Note from the Founders

We built TrueTales for our own children first. When we couldn't find what we wanted on the market — production quality that would hold a child's attention, stories that didn't talk down to them, history that wasn't sanitized or politicized — we decided to build it ourselves.

We are parents, not media executives. Every story is reviewed with one question in mind: Would we play this for our own children at bedtime? If the answer isn't an enthusiastic yes, it doesn't make the library.

Thank you for trusting us with the most important audience in the world.
